Before driving off with a Boosh Bebee Trailer, clients should ensure that:

  • The trailer coupling is correctly secured on the vehicle’s towing hitch.
  • The coupling release pin is turned to the closed position.
  • The safety chain is placed over the towing hitch.
  • The electric plug is correctly connected and that all lights including indicator lights are functioning correctly.
  • All doors are closed and locked such that they cannot blow open in transit.
  • As a precaution, be sure to have the correct size wheel spanner.
  • Be sure that the spare wheel for the trailer is equipt when driving long distances.
  • Do not overload the trailer and be sure to spread the load such that the front of the trailer is carrying around 60% of the load with the balance at the back. Note that trailers should never be heavier at the back.
  • Both your vehicle and the trailer’s tyres must be correctly inflated. Pay special attention to your backwheels.
  • Never speed whilst towing a trailer as it is much more difficult to stop.
  • Finally, be sure to leave a large following distance should you be required to stop urgently whilst towing a trailer.
